Clinique – Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel & All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing
Clinique is a very well advertised skin care label, boasting their lab tests and excellent results. What of the following two products?
1. Dramatically different mositurizing gel @$74/125mL
For those with combination/oily skin, a moisturizer in gel form is preferred. If skin is already producing excess oil, there isn’t a need to provide additional oil. Instead, hydration is more important. Just because the skin produces oil, doesn’t mean that it is hydrated.Clinique have never been the top at packaging, and the dramatically different range is no different. It is however quite hygienic, as the gel does not come in contact with the hand until it is pumped out. The texture is very watery, as all gels should be, and is yellow in color. There is no fragrance, as with all Clinique products.
Clinique claims that after application, skin is hydrated and smoothed, providing the skin with it’s daily “drink.” From 6+ months of usage, i found the gel to smooth out the skin slightly. However, hydration did not seem to be present. This product is suggested as a stand alone moisturizer, however i find it better to use it as an additional surge of hydration.
2. All about eyes serum De-Puffing Eye Massage @$54/15mL
Eye serums are generally useful when targeting wrinkles and signs of ageing on the eye area. Creams are more so for hydration and protection against ageing. Personally, i like a serum for my eye area, as it is absorbed much quicker and for me can prevent signs of ageing.
As with most eye de-puffing serums, it contains a high concentration of caffeine. The application is rather easy, just roll it under your eye and your done! Although Clinique claims this product will de-puff the eyes and lighten up dark circles, i found it quite useless, besides it’s cooling feel after application. However, a relative of mine finds this product extremely helpful, especially with de-puffing. Based on my personal opinion, i would not recommend this de-puffing serum, as for me it had no effect.
